So…I’m somewhat ashamed to say that my last full scale mix project was 10 years ago. TEN YEARS AGO. Yes, I’ve been on my Dr. Dre / D’Angelo / Lauryn Hill / Andre 3000 / **insert name of artist with no recent product**.

Life has thrown me a curveball or 20 and my focus hasn’t been on music as music as in earlier times in my life. However, I got the fire back and I got some stuff coming down the pipeline…

Throwback Thursday : Joi – “Missing You”

I often feel some type of way when I look at TV or turn on the radio and the Old School Jam is a song I clearly remember from just 7 or 8 years ago.

Time does fly though.

The throwback cut for today isn’t some super old song from the 70’s. Or some rare obscure funk gem. But rather an often overlooked smash from ATL Royalty…Joi. From 2002’s Star Kitty’s Revenge…“Missing You”
